55th Shogakukan Manga Award Winners

Winners of the 55th Shogakukan Manga Awards was announced last Thursday. Here is the list of winners:


  • Children's Category: Penguin no Mondai (Yuji Nagai)
  • Boys' Category: SKET DANCE (Kenta Shinohara
  • Girls' Category: Machi de Uwasa no Tengu no Ko (Nao Iwamoto)
  • General Category: Shinya Shokudo (Yaro Abe)
Each winner will receive a cash prize of 1 million yen at the awarding ceremonies this coming March 3. A special judge award was given to Toei for their contribution in promoting manga through film and TV adaptations.
